SKILSAW

SKILSAW Stays True to the construction professional--since 1924

SKILSAW

SKILSAW Power Tools was founded in 1924 with the invention of the world’s first portable circular saw. The SKILSAW pioneered the use of worm drive gearing and die-cast aluminum motor housings. Its successor, the Model 77, launched in 1927 and became the benchmark for portable circular saws. The Model 77 changed the construction and home improvement industries forever and has often been referred to as “the saw that built America.”

SKILSAW built its reputation in wood cutting. As materials used in construction and applications change, SKILSAW continues its heritage of power and durability with saws designed to better cut these new materials. Saws for cutting harsh materials, such as concrete and metal, provide legendary SKILSAW performance. That’s how SKILSAW Stays True.
